The Bookseller, a newspaper magazine, sought my services to create a magazine cover for LGBT+ Pride month, highlighting lesbian couples.

Objective: The objective was to oppose the oversexualized portrayal of lesbians in the media and provide representation to queer Black individuals.

Solution: I designed a magazine cover emphasizing the diversity of lesbians who look different in our community, featuring characters who are masculine and feminine. This illustration also includes details such as a hearing aid to provide representation for Black and disabled people usually excluded from LGBT+ centred representation. Being part of the Black lesbian community, I found the project particularly rewarding.
